The intention of all this is to distill
(much like in cooking or perfume making)
new relations between separate things
that originally had nothing to do with each other.
To create not isolated objects, but continuations of life itself.
To listen to materials; scan and probe them for signals.
You push a material too hard and it breaks.
You work with it too slow and it disfigures beyond repair.
Through laborious craftsmanship,
constant iterations/combinations, failures
(errors as signs from the materials, that a limit is reached or surpassed).
To discover, adapt and adjust to new techniques,
learn from and stay as true as possible to traditional ones.
To work with people that have spent lifetimes learning their crafts.
To observe materials and their potentials – layers
where many things can happen or never will.
